Gorgeous, white, elegant, extravagant.. just a few of the words we could use to describe this spectacular Winter white wedding on our blog today! These college sweethearts married in beautiful Montecito with a stunning lavender donning wedding party by their side and acres of gardens surrounding them. In a tent that only La Fete Weddings could make look so surreal, guests dined and danced under miles of draped fabric and pretty piles of all white roses! Here’s the story of how the gorgeous couple met and a little more about their special day:
After completing their first day of orientation at USC a large group of classmates decided to go out to happy hour and this is when Brian had the pleasure of sitting across from Courtney. The two quickly became good friends, and after a year of Brian trying to win Courtney over, the perfect opportunity fell into his lap! Their group of friends had all planned to go to a John Butler Trio concert, although someone had mistakenly purchased two tickets to the wrong night. As fate would have it, both Courtney & Brian ended up sacrificing their tickets for the other friends to go to the concert. That led to their pseudo first date and then two days later their official first date- and the rest is history!
When we began planning the wedding with Courtney & her mother we started by searching for wedding venues. They knew we had found the right place when we walked onto the grounds of the spectacular Villa Sevillano. With magnificently manicured grounds and formal terraced gardens, this impressive 6-bedroom Italian Villa was the perfect place to transform into their dream wedding.
The wedding ceremony was held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel church in the heart of Montecito at 2:00 in the afternoon. After the full Catholic mass the guests arrived at the Villa for an intentionally “long-cocktail-hour!” We created a plush environment around the pool with charcoal grey lounge furniture groupings, tall communal dining tables & multiple bars and food stations! Good Gracious! catered a “Meat Lovers” station for the groom and a “New Orleans” food station for the bride- complete with frozen hurricanes and gumbo! Guests mingled and enjoyed the music of the New Orleans style Dixie band.
We designed a tailored fabric draped tent with ivory petal covered panels in the center of the ceiling. We filled in the tent with Revelry Event Designer’s stunning mirror & chandelier glass top tables, which were accented with their linen upholstered chairs. Eddie Zaratsian added a decadent mix of all white modern flowers in mirrored vessels along with a selection of rosebud-embellished votive candles.
The Band from West Coast Music blew the guests away with their incredible talents and at the end of the night we surprised the guests by passing out LED sunglasses, necklaces, bracelets & other fun props to keep their party on the dance floor all night long!
