When getting married in Hawaii, brides typically take one of two routes for the design of their big day; laid back & tropical, or totally glam. This Hawaiian wedding took place at the Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina and is the latter. Picture white roses, gold table numbers, sunset portraits – basically, everything beautiful – and you have got yourself this stunner on our wedding blog today. Oh! And the ceremony and reception were set oceanside, with a backdrop of palm trees and the sea. AKA it is pretty breathtaking. And it was all captured by Absolutely Loved photography, thankfully, so you can view it here today…
The Bride shares…
Nasr and I met in the most romantic of cities, Las Vegas. What happens in Vegas clearly did not stay in Vegas, and actually became our happily ever after. We kept in touch after the trip through Facetime and texts, which then turned into a holiday in Hawaii and back and forth trips from New York, where I lived, to Sydney, where he lived. Nasr and I chose Hawaii for our wedding because we had taken our first holiday together there. It was a magical trip for us and we wanted to share that with our closest family and friends on our wedding day. Logistically, it was halfway for them as well!
The Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina was a top choice after seeing the lagoon lawn overlooking the ocean. There is nothing more romantic than a Hawaiian sunset paired with the ultimate service the Four Seasons offered. Our dream was to have an outdoor wedding followed by a reception and the venue exceeded that expectation. The views and scenic background was all you needed to make for an unforgettable experience for ourselves and guests.
Our inspiration behind the wedding decor was a mixture of romance, elegance and all the natural elements Hawaii has to offer. Shimmery ivory linens mixed with white and blush toned flowers were the main colors we added to the already gorgeous greenery seen on the lawn and in the palm trees. We also chose to overhang cafe lights to twinkle over the dance floor underneath the stars. We brought in the gold chairs to add elegance and draped our dessert table in a gold sequin linen for extra sparkle! Everything came together beautifully thanks to the phenomenal vendors.
1 year of marriage down and a baby girl on the way, we couldn’t be happier. It was the most magical day of our lives and we cant wait to go back and share the beauty of Hawaii with our little girl!
