Trends We Saw On The Runway at New York Bridal Fashion Week Fall 2025

In addition to cooler weather and changing colors, we welcome fall with open arms for a number of reasons– but one thing we look forward to the most is New York Bridal Fashion Week! This year, our editors had the opportunity to sit front row on the runway and get an exclusive look at what’s in store for brides in the upcoming wedding season. In the current era of unapologetic maximalism, it’s no surprise that many of the looks we saw at New York Bridal Fashion Week embodied their own version of modern day renaissance. Elbow length gloves, corset gowns, structured draping, and dramatic bridal capes were among some of our favorite details that we saw this season. Read on to see it all for yourself!

Coquette-inspired: Lace + Bows

Feminine looks have never been stranger to the bridal runway. Now more than ever, we are seeing coquette-inspired looks grace the stage in the form of delicate lace detailing and charming bow accents–a playful way to add a sense of romance to your bridal look.

Structured Draping

We know what you’re thinking– this sounds like a juxtaposition. And you’re absolutely right! Striking silhouettes never looked so effortless with designers integrating  asymmetrical hemlines and cascading folds to add a sculptural element to many bridal gowns this season. This technique showcases the art of fabric manipulation and how draping can give shape to a look in a completely effortless way.

Corset Tops

Corset tops have made a powerful resurgence, transforming the traditional bridal silhouette to have a more lavish touch. Designers are reimagining the 16th century staple, opting for structured boning and innovative fabrics that flatter the figure while providing a contemporary flair to their gowns.

Capes + Scarves

Bridal capes and scarves have emerged as a statement accessory this season, taking the stage in the form of statement fabrics and opulent designs. This versatile trend allows brides to customize their look with some understated drama, making it the perfect choice for the modern bride.

Texture

Textural diversity was a key theme on the runway, as we watched many designers play with layers, ruffles, and unexpected materials to create visual intrigue on their gowns. From soft, billowy tulle to sleek satin and intricate embroidery, it’s safe to say we’re anticipating a lot of bridal looks to have plenty of depth and dimension in the upcoming wedding season!

Mini Dresses

Because an outfit change is always a good idea. Breaking away from tradition, mini dresses have taken center stage as a playful way for brides to switch up their look and make a statement during their celebrations! Designers showcased a variety of styles for their mini dresses, giving brides the opportunity to venture outside of their comfort zone and try something different for their second look.

Bridal Gloves

In true renaissance fashion, bridal gloves have reentered the spotlight– giving brides the opportunity to add a regal flair to their bridal looks. Designers were not afraid to bring different materials into their arsenal this season, and bridal gloves were no exception! We saw lace, satin and even latex make their way down the runway to complete each look.

It’s clear that the upcoming wedding season is all about embracing individuality and playful couture. Whether you’re drawn to  more sophisticated styles that feature structured draping, or are eager to bring on the drama with plenty of texture, there is truly something for every bride to fall in love with this season!
