This engagement shoot on our wedding blog today happened at Lair o’ the Bear Park – which we just discovered is pretty spectacular. The adorable couple donned vintage duds that give us major hipster vibes – to go with the voodoo donuts we presume ;). What more do you need than coffee, donuts, and each other, right? A gorgeous picnic spot complete with cozy blankets doesn’t hurt either – it reminds us of this other favorite engagement shoot! The whole thing is a cuddly, cute, romantic afternoon styled by Forever Cole Events and photographed by Taylor Carlisle. Here’s how Heather of Forever Cole Events described the perfect day:
We did a picnic that included legendary voodoo doughnuts, coffee, and champagne of course. The bride and groom wore their own attire that they found in their closet. They had such great style that it was easy to style them. It was very natural and the park was a gorgeous backdrop. As the stylist I created a lace tent filled with plaid & mis-matched blankets and a streamer of flowers for the couple to enjoy their breakfast. It also included vintage suitcases, decor, and Colorado grown flowers. The shoot was inspired around Colorado grown or local businesses. We did all florals bought from the local farmers market just a few days before. We spent hours just taking in the the scenery and being inspired by the natural beauty.
