A Charleston love story is a tale as old as time, but this wedding transforms our dreams. The ceremony space is intimate and ornate at the same time. It uses the florals to draw the eye, but the bride’s stunning gown still has its moment to shine. From there, the reception only takes us further and further into the Pinterest board inspiration pinning we need. Don’t make us choose a favorite detail. We’d never be able to come up with only one.
Every wedding beings with a love story,
Derek & Paige met in nursing school & quickly had a strong attraction toward each other. They began as study buddies, and then quickly realized they had many things in common and shared a lot of the same values. They bonded over many sushi dates, comedy movie nights & outdoor activities. Paige always talks about how Derek always surprised her with his unselfish ways and always seemed to put her first.
At the time they were trying to decide where they were going to relocate to next and Washington state was an option. As they love to travel they planned a trip to Seattle, Lake Colchuck, and Leavenworth. They both love Lighthouses and the morning of October 1st they went to explore a lighthouse followed by an amazing breakfast. When they were at the lighthouse Derek asked for someone to take their picture and as they did, Derek turned to Paige and got down on one knee & popped the question. Paige was so surprised but she quickly said yes, and though she says it is all a blur she loved how intimate and meaningful it was.

Paige and Derek wanted to have a romantic & intimate wedding with whimsical floral and a timeless style. Her bouquet had a garden-inspired whimsical design. A fun fact about the couple is that they both loved the Bridgerton series on Netflix, and loved the idea of creamy nudes, blush tones, with major floral statements throughout the ceremony and reception design. The design & planning exuded romance from the time that the guests arrived, to having the couple write their own vows, to the overflowing table floral that guests were surrounded by while they enjoyed a little taste of Charleston. Their send-off was filled with smiles as the couple walked under a tunnel of sparklers during their send-off.
