It’s not every day we see a southwestern wedding let alone a southwestern elopement. The incredible vendor team that pulled this off is as talented as it gets. With a floral installation cascading down a tree, and surprise visits from farm animals every detail of this elopement was captured perfectly by the amazing Lindsey Taylor Photography. Let us take a moment to appreciate the unique and creative idea of planning an elopement with such a fun theme.
Lindsey Taylor Photography shares,
What is so special about our styled shoot is that our models, Julia and Kirt, are a real-life, COVID-impacted couple. They were supposed to get married on July 17th, 2020, and had to postpone to 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic. This shoot became their “dress rehearsal” or “first wedding”, as we liked to tell them, and they were beyond excited to get a taste of the wedding experience they had hoped to share this year. Our inspiration for this shoot was “southwest bohemian”, so we incorporated a lot of bright and bold color. The flowers were inspired by the pinks, purples, and oranges in a true desert sunset while the turquoise dinner plates and copper stationery gave nod to the signature southwestern gemstone and precious metal. The texture of the wedding gown inspired the knots and patterns on the cake and the fringed menus. Above all, we wanted to capitalize on the unparalleled, breathtaking beauty of Providence Vineyard, with its rolling hills, stately oak tree (the perfect ceremony backdrop), and picturesque white barn, which was the perfect blank slate that really allowed our design to really come to life!
