Brenna, the beauty behind Chic Street Style, is getting married! Needless to say her engagement photos are styled perfectly! She slipped on a little “something blue” and took to the pretty riverside with her hubby to be where they had their first date (sigh!) and Alexandria Hinders of Everlasting Love Photography captured their bliss! Listen to their love story – oh! and don’t miss her rose gold & silver sparkler :).
Zachariah and I met seemingly serendipitously, but it was none other than a photoshoot that we can thank for having found each other. I was an Editor-In-Chief of my college’s fashion magazine and he built custom motor cycles. One of my fashion directors said they wanted to include some bikes in the menswear shoot, so I let her arrange it. After the photoshoot was over (and having just missed each other), that same director invited me to a Great Gatsby party to celebrate the shoot. I turned it down but she absolutely insisted. Later that night, on October 18th, I walked into a friends apartment in 1920s feathers and all, looking at a guy that looked so similar to Jay Gatsby. He caught my eye immediately. We spent the night laughing and dancing and he walked me to my car at the end of the night…. and forgot to ask me for my number. He went on Facebook immediately to try to find me and I came up on his “people you may know” even though we had no common friends, which shouldn’t happen. The next day he told me we were going on a date and told me that night he would be marrying me. I had called my mom after the date and told her the same thing, that I had met the man I would marry someday. The next day he asked be to be his girlfriend and the next day I literally moved in. New Years Eve came along and we went to a Gatsby countdown party in Minneapolis with my two best friends. When the clock struck midnight, he kissed me, took me to a corner and got on one knee and asked me to be his forever. I couldn’t say yes fast enough and he gave me the most beautiful engagement ring that he started designing a week after I moved in. It was inspired from Daisy’s, but with a rose gold and pink diamond halo because it felt more “Brenna,” he said. Yes, you did the math right, we got engaged two and a half months after meeting each other. Because when we knew, we both really knew.
