Sand Dune Engagement Photos

A beautiful background is usually something couples and photographers look for when planning an engagement session, but this couple found one 10 points above your typical lake or wheat field. Annie & Kyle’s sand dune engagement photos are pure magic. The way the sun set over the sand during their special session may be one of the most beautiful sights you could ever see, made even more romantic as they cozied up in the sand. Mackenzie Keough got to be there to capture them taking it all in. Their adventure thirsty and tender love exudes through her photos.

Annie, the bride to be, shares, Kyle and I met when we were 18, basically fresh out of high school and just starting college. We truly got the opportunity to grow together and while it wasn’t quite The Notebook it was perfect for us. Together we’ve been fortunate enough to go through highs and lows early in our lives and know that we had each other standing behind us the whole way. We’ve shared travels, secrets, sorrows, and a love that is so cliche that you’d think maybe it was a Nicholas Sparks book. We are lucky to have become a couple, best friends, and in a few short weeks, partners for life. When we did our engagement pictures we wanted to capture that journey- not just our love- and we couldn’t have been happier. The location was incredible and the result was whatever is just beyond that.
