Just looking through their wedding photos from Erica Streelman Photography makes us wish we could have been a part of this romantic rustic wedding at Calamigos Ranch in the hills of Malibu! From the gorgeous roses and wildflowers to the bride’s glittering satin shoes, we love every aspect of this wedding! And, how can you not when you have a whimsical color scheme and a match made in heaven?
Erica says, From the moment I met Penny and Josh I knew their love was something special. Josh’s eyes light up whenever he sees Penny and Penny’s beautiful smile can be seen from miles away whenever Josh is near. Their love for each other is infectious and magnetic so much that you can actually feel it in your own heart. As a photographer, I love when couples fall into their own world where they love each other simply, connect tenderly, can make each other laugh and forget there are other people around but the two of them.
It is clear that P + J know the definition of true love by putting the other person first. Not only do Penny and Josh love each other fully, they accept everyone as their own. They welcomed my team with open arms and gave us their undivided attention while their family and friends were quick to share their memories of all the personal interactions they had with Penny and Josh. To say P + J were dream clients would be an understatement.
From choosing the Birchwood Room at beautiful Calamigos Ranch to the smallest details placed perfectly around the venue, Penny and Josh’s impeccable style could be seen in every aspect of the day. Penny, in the design world herself, chose the lovely Feathered Arrow Events to direct the day, while she hand crafted charming florals from Bloominous, chose high end bridal details (her Badgely’s were gorgeous!) and designed a one of a kind ketubah. The reception closed out the beautiful day with Penny and Josh performing the most romantic choreographed first dance and heartfelt speeches, all under twinkle lights on the Birchwood Room deck.
