Retro Beach Anniversary Shoot

Get ready to take in the most adorable retro beach anniversary shoot on our wedding blog today! This super cute/fun/colorful shoot spanned trademark L.A. locations in Santa Monica and Marina Del Rey. So naturally, the backdrop was extremely photogenic, as was the couple. From head-to-toe these lookers were dressed for the occasion in California style. If this shoot is any indication, they are the perfect pair. Nicole Alexandra Designs & Valorie Darling Photography were the dream team that made the day come to life!

We wanted to focus on a playful side of love with an emphasis on color and California with a retro twist. Marlana and Justin are so adorable and crazy about each other! We had so much fun running around the Westside acting like tourists in our own city.

We started our day out at the Santa Monica Pier enjoying the games and roller coaster, then traveled over to Marina Del Rey in a vintage Thunderbird convertible where we set up a sweet picnic with antique china for our two lovebirds. We used picnic items found at local flea markets, cheers-ed with “I have a crush on you” orange soda, and spent the afternoon reading throwback fashion magazines and writing love letters to each other on vintage postcards.

Their personality and love for one another is about as vibrant as the color palette!
