There is also plenty for guests to do and see while there, which will make their trip doubly worth it! We divert – this Olowalu Plantation House wedding is picture perfect with beautiful florals, a stocked bar complete with custom cocktails, and traditional Hawaiian activities. You’ll love every last detail, we are sure of it!
Photographer, Anna Delores was there to capture the day and recounts it, saying…
Sydney and Mark have been together about seven years, and their “accidental first date” occurred when they planned to take a class together at Moorpark College. They couldn’t find the classroom (and admittedly didn’t look that hard); they quickly gave up and went out for dinner instead.
When Mark proposed, he planned a whole day for Sydney and Taylor (Sydney’s maid of honor, who was also in on the secret). Bride-to-be Sydney thought they were going shopping for an upcoming trip to Vegas, but Mark was planning to propose and wanted her to have a day of pampering first (how sweet is that?!). With a card that said, “shit just got real,” Mark gave Sydney a few hours to buy a dress and made hair and makeup appointments for her. Later that night, Taylor finally took her to the bluffs in Malibu, where Mark was waiting.
On their wedding day, they both struggled to hold back tears. Sydney and Mark are truly best friends and can be their genuine selves together.
Their wedding day was expertly planned and executed by local Maui planners Bespoke Destination Events (with Sydney’s vision taking the lead for the romantic, ethereal decor details at the ceremony and reception). This California couple made the reception extra-special for their guests traveling to Maui with a fire dance performance during dinner, and a shave ice truck during dancing!
