NYC Kate Spade Wedding - Inspired By This

With sequins, stripes, and a color scheme that is as bright and fun as their big day, this bride and groom created a Kate Spade wedding in the middle of NYC! Their quirky and beautiful affair is filling our wedding blog with colorful and sparkly inspiration. Following a rooftop ceremony (check out that view!), the guests enjoyed a dahlia and polka-dot filled reception. Everything from the linens to the cocktails honored the peppy Kate Spade perfectly thanks to planning by Cassandre Snyder! Bridesmaids donned gold and black striped dresses while the bride wore a stunning aline textured ball gown. Pillows donning “Thanks, Champagne” and the wedding hashtag livened up the lounge areas and showed the couple’s personality. To top it all off favor bags branded with “Carol & Jon” with a signature spade were given to guests as they left the pretty pink party.

Carol (the bride) is a lover of bunnies, Kate Spade and Jon (the groom). When she came to me all that she wanted was to incorporate all those things in some shape way or form. Incorporating Jon was easy and once I got to know them, the rest really fell into place! Though she was involved, she didn’t know what we had planned, and when she stepped into the space for the first time, she said it was exactly what she wanted.

Our ceremony and reception were held at Studio 450, a raw loft spcae on the far west side of Manhattan, with a panoramic view of New York City and our home of Jersey City, NJ. The space came as a blank slate, but with a lot of Kate Spade and the help of our extraordinary wedding planner, Cassandre, we dressed it up in style that suited both the venue and our tastes. The pops of bright pink and classic black and white stripes set the scene for a
fabulous night for us – and all of our guests – to remember.
