Nautical was done so right at this Maryland coastal wedding. Navy & white stripes never looked so elegant than they do here, subdued with gorgeous white florals and natural wooden decor. Designed by Kari Rider Events, every flag and compass detail came together perfectly for the bride and groom to sail off into the sunset.
Kari Rider shares, From the peninsula of Palos Verdes Estates, California, to the shores of the Chesapeake Bay, Lindsay Posner and Jeff Delarme couldn’t deny the coastal influences permeating their wedding planning. So as a nod to their home on the California coast and their wedding venue in Lindsay’s native Maryland, we embraced a classic nautical palette for the couple’s waterfront celebration at the Inn at Perry Cabin by Belmond in St. Michaels.
Custom navy and white striped napkins popped from simple white linens, evoking a quintessential sense of sail and sea. Coupled with wood accents and muted florals, the scene beneath the sailcloth tent overlooking the waters of the Inn’s Point was fittingly Eastern Shore. It wouldn’t have been complete, however, without personal touches from the bride and groom—such as a custom L and J monogram that adorned everything from the matchboxes at the cigar station to the flag the couple raised following the ceremony.
