With garlands of green and bridesmaids in baby blues, this natural wedding is like a breath of fresh air. The classic wedding in North Carolina at The Sutherland is simple, elegant, and beautiful, but it’s the newlyweds’ smiles that make us weak in the knees. From the sweetest first look with her dad, to the first portraits with her new Mr. the bride is glowing through and through. Jenna of A.J. Dunlap Photography was there to capture every emotion and dreamy detail. She says, “You will fall in love with the most beautiful, slightly rustic, yet classically adorned wedding ever. The tree covered in twinkle lights is everything. Add that to the bride and groom’s happiness and this wedding will have you swooning from start to finish.” We’ll be the first to confirm, that all this is true. Let the swooning commence…
We knew we wanted to have our ceremony outdoors and once we saw The Sutherland Estate we absolutely fell in love! Since the venue is absolutely gorgeous as is, I wanted everything else to feel natural, fresh, and a clean classic look. I decided to go with white linens, lots of greenery, and big white flowers to keep it natural and laid back. We had the most surreal day surrounded by everyone we love and care for the most. Some of my favorite memories were doing a first look with my dad which was emotional to say the least! It was so special to have a moment alone with my dad before we walked down the aisle together. Our ceremony was absolutely perfect, we had our closest childhoods friends in the wedding party, our siblings do readings, and my cousin officiate the ceremony which made it feel intimate and personal. I wouldn’t go back to change a thing, it was the most perfect day!
