When it came to their wedding, this couple was all about enjoying the day and throwing a big party full of fun. And that is exactly how it all panned out! Their natural wedding full of greenery and elegant details was simple, relaxed, and a good time was had by all. You can’t fake these smiles! Captured by onelove photography and planned by Off The Beaten Path Weddings, it is truly beautiful and full of personality. And with a venue in California’s wine country, the scenery is equally spectacular!
Elizabeth & Brian are such an awesome couple and so much fun to work with. A few things that were very important to them were finding an amazing venue, having fun, and being able to enjoy a great reception, so I knew when their wedding came that a good time was going to be had by all! They wanted their celebration to be relaxed, yet modern, with elegant touches and lots of inspiration drawn from nature, as well as thoughtful touches and no stuffiness whatsoever.
On their location search, the couple was concerned with securing a venue that really matched their vision, and when I showed them Ru’s Farm they knew it was meant to be. The natural beauty the property has to offer fit in perfectly with what they were looking for, and the barn provided a perfect backdrop for the band they booked. They also brought in a unique vintage volkswagen photobooth “bus” that was open throughout the entire day and night. Guests absolutely loved that small detail and so did the groom!
It was a lot of fun working with them to pick out their table top design as well. Elizabeth loved neutrals and greenery and so we were able to incorporate beautiful green olive branch and eucalyptus garlands on top of the farm tables she had reserved for her wedding party. They also didn’t want too much focus on the ceremony itself, but as you can see in the photos, they both made sure that it incorporated FUN :). Her dress and veil were absolutely stunning. My favorite moments of the night were when the couple had their first dance and the groom broke out in song at the end, and then their epic cake cutting moment – so fun!
