We are willing to bet that you have never heard of a mango orchard, and if you have it most likely wasn’t a mango orchard wedding! That being said, we are so excited to be sharing this stunning mango orchard wedding that took place in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The bride, Maggie shares a behind the scenes look at the planning process,
Chase & I met our freshman year of high school but had two years of flirting and high school nonsense before we officially started dating in 2009. A short 10 years later, we got engaged at Millennium Park in our hometown of Chicago. About a year before our engagement we took a trip to Los Cabos and visited Acre, a lush jungle oasis in the foothills of San Jose del Cabo. With a hand-painted dance floor, organic farm-to-table food, romantic string lights, and a roaming baby burro named Burrito, we knew Acre’s modern style and laid-back, boho vibes would be the perfect destination for our future wedding.
Through the power of Instagram, we found our talented team of vendors, including Fatima Falcon of Momentos Los Cabos, who helped connect us with the best local vendors. On the first of February eighty-five of our closest family and friends gathered to celebrate with us as we exchanged vows underneath the verdant palms at Acre. A stunning octagon floral arch hosted an eclectic array of flowers including white orchids, pampas grass, anthuriums, and pops of warm pastel-colored floral that perfectly captured Cabo’s picturesque sunsets.
The al fresco reception took place in the mango orchard, where guests were seated at long tables for an intimate family-style dinner. Each table was accented with neutral patterned linens, while each place setting featured a custom menu with guest’s names printed at the top. Black tapered candles and textured candlelight votives glowed between the alternating arrangements of tropical foliage and low floral arrangements. At the end of the evening just as the band was packing up it started to rain and we asked them to play an encore. Eduardo from Totoy band played an acoustic version of “Just the Way You Are” as all of our loved ones gathered around us in a circle to dance. It quickly became one of our favorite memories from the night!
If you loved this gorgeous mango orchard wedding as much as we did then we know you will adore this jaw-dropping Florida wedding featuring similar tropical details!
