Tell us about yourself and your role at Loved Twice Bridal!
“After graduating with my undergraduate degree in Biology and getting married, I originally planned to continue schooling to become an optometrist. But since my husband was in the military, I instead ran with the fact that I thoroughly enjoyed planning our wedding – thus, my bridal career was born.
I started my career at a small boutique in San Diego as a part-time intern and worked my way up while working at different boutiques around the country. After moving to LA and working as the store director of the Pronovias LA flagship store, the COVID shutdown happened.
During the shutdown, there were so many brides who no longer needed their gowns but didn’t know what to do. I witnessed firsthand the heartbreak and uncertainty faced by brides whose weddings were canceled or postponed. Inspired by their needs and recognizing a gap in the market, I founded Loved Twice Bridal – a better way to shop and sell pre-loved designer wedding gowns.”
How did you come up with the concept of Loved Twice Bridal?
“Loved Twice Bridal was born out of a unique challenge presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. During the pandemic, I was a store director at a major bridal boutique in Beverly Hills. I witnessed firsthand the heartbreak and uncertainty faced by brides whose weddings were canceled or postponed. Many of these brides were left with beautiful, unworn gowns that they didn’t know how to sell or what to do with.
Inspired by their needs and recognizing a gap in the market, I founded Loved Twice Bridal. Our mission is to provide a convenient and sustainable solution for brides to shop and sell pre-loved designer wedding gowns. We aim to:
- Empower brides by offering individualized customer service and convenient ways to buy and sell dresses.
- Provide affordable options for brides seeking designer gowns without breaking the bank.
- Promote sustainability by encouraging the reuse of wedding gowns and reducing waste in the bridal industry.”
What makes Loved Twice Bridal unique in the wedding fashion marketplace?
“For too long, brides have had to compromise on price, quality, and service when shopping for a second-hand gown.
We believe that selecting the dress of your dreams for your big day is a deeply personal experience, and no bride should ever sacrifice that special moment just because she decides to shop second-hand.
On the other side of the equation, brides who enjoyed a deeply personal customer service experience when purchasing the gown should experience the same level of service when selling her dress.
That’s why we pair each bride with a professional stylist, whether she’s shopping online or in our Beverly Hills boutique.
In addition, by specializing in pre-loved designer wedding gowns, we offer the perfect balance of style and sustainability – brides get to select a stunning designer gown that’s budget-friendly and environmentally responsible. “
What are the benefits that brides can gain in shopping with Loved Twice Bridal?
“Unlike our resale website competitors, the Loved Twice Bridal collection is truly curated. We do not just take in any gown to have a huge variety for brides. Instead, each gown is assessed for value and how it compares to what brides are currently looking for in the market. Only if it meets certain standards does it hit the showroom floor and get put on the website. The transparency with our selection process ensures that brides shopping with us are only getting the best assortment.”
What does the process look like in selling a gown to Loved Twice Bridal?
“Since we’re committed to only offering high-quality, sustainably made second-hand gowns, we only take in dresses that meet the following criteria:
Age: Gowns must be 4 years old or newer.
Retail Value: Original retail price of $3,500 or more.
Condition: Items must be in excellent, ready-to-wear condition.
For a $50 consignment fee ($25 for local LA customers), Loved Twice Bridal houses, markets, and sells the gown so brides don’t have to. Upon sale, the bride nets 50% of the selling price.”
What does the process look like in buying a gown from Loved Twice Bridal?
“Whether they’re buying or selling, all LTB brides receive the luxury customer experience that resale platforms sacrifice by gaining access to our appointment-only showroom in Beverly Hills, our concierge e-commerce platform and our innovative Try-at-Home program.
Brides who visit us in-person work with a dedicated stylist during a one-hour appointment.
For brides who shop through our Try-at-Home program, she gets 3 days to try on her gown before saying yes to the dress so that she can buy a second-hand gown with confidence.”
Who are your target/ideal clients?
“LTB is for brides who are tired of compromising on their dream dress. We offer ready-to-wear, pre-loved designer bridal gowns that are friendly to the wallet and the environment. Whether brides shop with us in-store or online, they are paired with a stylist who will work with them one-on-one.
And for brides who are looking to sell their wedding dress, we offer a hassle-free experience – for a one-time consignment fee, we take care of selling their dress so brides can focus on enjoying married life!”
Where do you envision your brand 5 years from now?
“I would love to expand the Loved Twice Bridal name into all things wedding wear consignment and bring the boutique experience to major cities. Our goal is to make these second hand items accessible to the masses.”
