I love the 4th of July! It seems like the epitome of summer. BBQ’s, picnics, fireworks, sunshine, friends, swimming and all of the other great accouterments of the summer solstice! Along with being excited, I also feel grateful. I have had the opportunity to work with so many talented individuals, so many people who were culturally and religiously different than me, who held jobs they love, love whom they want and pursue a life they dream of. We are so blessed to live in a country that not only protects but celebrates all of those things!
Our basic freedoms, seem like freedoms that all humans are naturally entitled to enjoy, and as I agree that they are, there are people all over the globe who aren’t as fortunate as we are. I am over here silently waiving an imaginary American flag and enjoying my freedoms.
Below are some fabulous red, white and blue weddings intermixed with pictures of Grooms who have been or are fighting for the very freedoms we will be reminded of on July 4th. If I could, I would personally thank all the men and women who continue to fight for our country and those who were there to write and sign the declaration of Independence on July 4th, 1776!

actually, my fabulously talented 2nd photographer for that wedding (http://www.gwynethcolleen.com/?p=302 and http://www.gwynethcolleen.com/?p=338) took that shot. so, kudos to shyla of shyla photography.
The 3rd to the bottom wedding is out here in Colorado Springs! I recognize the Air Force Academy and the Briarhurst Mannor (I’ve had some photo shoots of my gowns there).
Wow, Leila. I could not have expressed it better myself. I’m so in awe of this post, and in awe of my fortunate life… I didn’t pick it, but I am beyond grateful for it and never NEVER want to forget that!!
