Romantic Lakeside Wedding

From the stationery to the florals, and the lace back wedding gown to the table overlay, everything about this lakeside wedding on our wedding blog today fits together seamlessly. The decadent couple and little met the elegance of the lakeside resort, which provided a breathtaking scene for the shoot. Tana Photography  shared the inspiration for this special shoot with us here:

Everything in this styled, wedding inspiration shoot was inspired by an iconic getaway…a scenic lakeside, exceptional settings, and a flair for romance. The Shore Lodge in the tiny mountain-resort town of McCall, Idaho was the perfect background- sitting right on the Payette Lake and offering comfortable luxury and an unbeatable view.

The first inspiration was to create a look that really went along with the feel of the lodge itself. With floor to ceiling windows opening up to the views of the lake, a rustic rock-wall fireplace and a stately moose, our vision was upscale with a touch of rustic.

We also styled our wedding couple with a romantic and classic look to fit with the majestic feel of the lodge and the lake. The bride has the clean look with a deep rose lip to coordinate with the peonies and roses in her bouquet. We kept her hairstyle smooth and elegant and her dress in a beautiful lace style, with a touch of whimsy with the bead and ribbon sash. The cute ring bearer is also styled in a classic outfit, with a nod to the lakeside feel in his straw fedora.

Our long dining table was filled with a lush garland of flowers, candles, and delicate details spanning the length. The sun setting over the lake is one of the most beautiful and anticipated sights at the lodge, so everything from our invitation suite to the peonies, roses, magnolia leaves and other foliage was reminiscent of sunset colors. A lace overlay topped a gorgeous greige table linen to create a neutral backdrop to allow the colors of the flowers to be the focal point, and the favor boxes with calligraphy place cards in grey ink finished off the look.

The docks of Shore Lodge are always a favorite photo opportunity- we took ours a step further by taking our couple out into the lake a bit for a gorgeous and hard to beat moment. The “honeymoon getaway” featured in an old, yet touching tug boat filled with gifts, was the perfectly memorable touch to this truly memorable day.
