Paymon and I met in the same hospital in Los Angeles where we both worked in 2011. He was a general surgery resident and I was a cardiac nurse. I am from a small town in Canada and Paymon was a native Californian. We would see each other around the hospital all the time and eventually started to talk to one another. We spent our time getting to know each other taking road trips along the Pacific Coast Highway and eating lunches at our favorite cafes in Beverly Hills.
Paymon proposed five years later on Valentine’s Day in Whistler, Canada. We went dogsledding in the mountains with a group of our closet friends and it was a surprise engagement! It was perfect because I love the outdoors and snow! We got married in September at a Spanish ranch called Hummingbird Nest in Los Angeles. It was an outdoor wedding under the stars with a sophisticated garden theme. It was magical and more florals then you can imagine!
We decided to come to Paris because it seemed like the perfect city for a honeymoon and it is so romantic! We can’t wait to come back! Everyday was perfect. We wanted a photoshoot that would more glamorous especially since it was with the Eiffel Tower! I chose a gold dress to compliment the Eiffel Tower. We wanted it to be classic and elegant and showcase our relationship.
Our photoshoot was the highlight! Our second highlight was having a night time picnic by the Eiffel Tower and watching the lights twinkle. Incredibly magical and surreal!
