Engaging Papers has been around for 15 years – so we entrusted owner, Patty Gibbons, to tell us what’s trending in wedding stationery this season (we’re talking rose gold and glitter!). Her work is stunning – pause and admire the invitation boxes and 3 dimensional stationery suites and see what we mean!

Tell us a little bit about Engaging Papers and how it all began!
Engaging Papers became a national extension of our design brick and mortar studio Little Black Dress Paperie almost 15 years ago.
Where did you start your career, did you always have a knack for design?
In my former life, I was a marketing and advertising professional in various industries but always in a creative role. I love design and fashion and have a passion for paper!.
What does a typical work day look like for you?
Honestly there is no typical day! That’s what makes each day not only a challenge but exciting as well. We spend most of our day designing and consulting with clients capturing their vision for the ultimate inviting day!
What’s the process behind creating custom stationery for brides?
Most brides will start with a pinterest board as an inspiration. It may be a color scheme or tone that they wold like conveyed on paper.
What trends are you seeing in Fall wedding stationery right now?
We are seeing a lot of custom metallic inks. We just introduced our platinum and rose gold metallic ink which are absolutely stunning for those brides looking for something different than traditional silver or gold metallic. For the glitzy glam brides, glitter cardstock, glitter pouchettes to hold inserts and glitter inks offer that touch of tasteful sparkle.
