Today we’re sharing some spring engagement photos that took place in the heart of Seattle – if you’re anything like us, these will instantly bring a smile to your face and brighten up your day! Alice and Duncan had an engagement session that showcased their perfect Saturday together, and honestly, it kind of sounds like our perfect Saturday too! Coffee at a cozy café, an afternoon stroll to search for antique home goods, a croquet session and picnic at the park with a view of the city…sound like a dream come true? We thought so! We can’t think of a sweeter idea for spring engagement photos than to spend a beautiful day together doing what you love most. Scroll down to see more from this day!
The photographer shares:
Alice and Duncan are the kind of people that you meet and instantly want to befriend. In a few words, they are genuine, hilarious, and (obviously) in love. Their session was focused on showing off their perfect Saturday – croquet at the park and enjoying the view of their city, then coffee and a wander around Ballard in search of antiques to decorate their home with.
Having moved from Ireland to Washington within the last few years, Alice told me that Gas Works Park was actually one of the first places that made her fall in love with Duncan’s hometown of Seattle. Getting to photograph these two at such a special location made it that much more meaningful, and it imbued their engagement photos with so much sentiment.
Alice travels extensively for work, so I felt an extra measure of privilege in getting to spend one of their precious Saturdays together with them. From watching them play a round of croquet (paired with joking quips and teases that had me cracking up) to taking in the beautiful skyline and then having a relaxed walk around one of their favorite neighborhoods…it was all such a fun experience and an honored glimpse into their sweet relationship.
