In a town just outside of Los Cabos, Mexico, this couple wed in a desert beach wedding. The destination affair is one for the books! Not only is the scenery beautiful (we couldn’t picture a more lush and biodiverse venue) but so is the bohemian sunset-inspired decor. It will inspire all you beach babes to head to Baja California Sur to say “I Do!”
Mishka Designs, the couple’s wedding planner & stylist shares…
Megan & Keith wanted a wedding that was totally chill, completely chic and uniquely romantic to fit their boho-chic-eclectic sense of style. They wanted something intimate and organic and in keeping with our beautiful desert backdrop, which was right up my alley.
The beach where they had their ceremony has a long walkway – I could just envision the guests carrying lanterns down the path as part of the processional, so to speak. Quite honestly, it looked even better than I had imagined it! There was a very old rustic, adobe building that had been near the beach for over a hundred years. I wanted the place to feel warm and inviting and decided to have Yazmin, my sister-in-law, hand paint linen napkins a beautiful orange in an ombre pattern so that they added a bright touch to the tables, which I mostly decorated with wild florals & grasses and old candle lanterns.
Adding a personal touch, she also did some pyrography of a cow skill and our town name on the napkin rings which could double as bracelets for guests to keep. My girl friend, Vari, lent us her hand picked beautiful pressed glass goblets to add another layer of texture to the dinner table. And finally, my husband made the tables, benches & table runners! It was truly a family affair to compliment the heart felt wedding ceremony & dinner.
Ugh dreaming of a destination wedding! So beautiful
