When deciding to renew their vows, this couple’s main priority was having their kids be a big part of it. They wanted a simple celebration that involved everyone and depicted their relationship. With that in mind, their friend, Sara of Sara Elizabeth Weddings, set-up their colorful family vow renewal, infusing it with their fun style and vibrant tropical florals. Below, Sara and once-again bride, Morgan, share more about the inspiration for the decor and the meaning behind the day!
Sara says, Morgan and Brad wanted their vow renewal to represent their relationship and style; a meaningful, fun, and relaxed day. Neither one of them knew where to start so they sought out my company- I offer pop-up weddings to couples. I also stood up with the couple for their first wedding and so they loved the idea of me planning and officiating the vow renewal! It was important that they renewed their vows now that their children were old enough to have an active part in the ceremony. They also don’t have many photos from their first wedding, so having a photographer at their vow renewal was a priority.
Morgan says, “Our first wedding was a beautiful day with family and close friends. We got married in my childhood church and followed the ceremony with a small reception at my parents’ home. Even though we had a great day, our kids weren’t old enough to remember and understand the meaning of our wedding.”
The day of the vow renewal finally arrived and so did Morgan and Brad’s pleasant surprise. they arrived to Dicks Brothers Brewery not sure what to expect, and were blown away with what they saw. “I could not get over the simplicity and beauty of the venue, our altar, and reception set-up! It had everything we wanted and the colors were so vibrant and happy!” said Morgan. Their popup ceremony included an altar we designed and florals by Lavish Floral Design. Their reception included a sweetheart table and bar cart full of tropical florals, donuts from their favorite baker, Innocent Bystander Moscato and sparkling grape juice.
Brad continues, “Our ceremony was perfect! The kids stood beside Morgan and I as we recommitted our vows to one another and they listened to the words that were so specific to Morgan’s and mine relationship.”
