This peach summer wedding inspiration puts a fresh twist on your typical black tie affair. The ceremony & reception are outdoors and feature gorgeous ivory, blush, and peach blooms. It maintains the dramatic effect associated with black tie without the ballroom. Some of our favorite elements, though, are the bride’s stunning gown with an illusion neck, and the supremely elegant stationery suite – stunning!
The photographer, Megan Lee, shares…
This is a summer inspired, black tie wedding shoot that took place in Washington D.C., right next to the White House! The wedding planner wanted to bring in some subtle hints of blush and peach to show off the summer season. I feel like the whole style and decor really took a fresh take on black tie weddings.
From a photographer’s stand point, this shoot is great to teach brides about how to position their outdoor decoration. It doesn’t always work out for the photographer to shoot reception details and portraits of the bride & groom during the golden hour, when the light is soft and perfect. Brides need to know that they can backlight their decorations and alter so that the photographer is still able to get beautiful photos! By backlighting, you reduce the chance of having tons of harsh shadows on faces and decor.
I love everything about this – especially that ceremony arch!!
This bride is STUNNING!
