Black and Gold Downtown Wedding

We were so obsessed with this couple’s engagement session a few months ago, so it’s a treat to share their chic downtown wedding with you all! It was all in the details at this black & gold beauty, with hanging light bulbs that romantically lit the ceremony and a gold flecked, lace embossed sweetheart cake – just to name a few of our favorite parts! This wedding hit close to home for photographers Gina & Ryan who got to capture the day for their brother and sister-in-law! The love runs abundant through these stunning images!

So, this wedding was a bit of a family affair, as it belongs to my newlywed brother and new sister, Melissa. Their Pop Champagne wedding in Pasadena was perfectly romantic and intimate. We too were a part of this, which is such an incredible gift (thanks to help form Meghan Christine!). You know, as wedding photographers, we’re definitely a part of the bride & grooms day, as we spend about 90% of our time with or around them. Although we didn’t get to sit back and watch the day unfold like the rest of our family and friends, it felt like so much more being the photographers for some of our best friend’s wedding day.

Melissa & Garrett got ready at a nearby hotel in Pasadena with our moms and brothers, and then took a short walk over through some of Pasadena’s best urban alleyways to the champagne bar where they would see each other for the first time. Melissa was flawless, and well, we’ve never really seen Garrett this dapper (way to go, bro!). Honestly, they were stunning!

Their Pop Champagne wedding in Pasadena was simply perfect. The warm, dimming chandelier ambiance was uber romantic, and the interior of Pop Champagne provided the perfect urban chic backdrop. The brick-textured interiors paired perfectly with Pasadena’s gorgeous urban alleyways, which made for a pretty cohesive storyline. Melissa & Garrett, your wedding day was as perfect as you two are together, and we couldn’t be happier for you both. Welcome to the family, Mel! XOXO
