This romantic and supremely elegant Bel Air Bay Club wedding overlooks the stunning Malibu coastline… but it’s not just the setting that caught our eyes. The bride’s style is one we would love to emulate. Her embroidered, cathedral length cape veil steals the show as she graces the rose petal lined aisle and poses along the stone stairway with her new husband. It’s truly breathtaking! Below, she shares her inspiration for the day, her style, and the venue that was a romantic destination for both her and her husband who live in New York, and their families from all over the world.
The bride shares…
We knew we wanted to get married outdoors in the spring time. We we SO lucky on that day 3.16.2019. It was the most perfect weather (after months of rain) we could have ever asked for in beautiful Pacific Palisades.
We had friends and family fly in from ALL over the world (lots of family from my side came from South Africa!), and it was important for us to pick a venue that felt like a real romantic getaway. I wanted to incorporate my love for lush greenery, but still stay true to my understated and effortless style. After weeks of rain, blue skies came out over the beaches of Malibu and allowed for the most perfect day.
I always knew I wanted a classic dress but with a modern twist. The dress itself was designed by FleurishLA and the cape veil added that element of drama I LOVED and was by the Italian designer Olympia Sposa. My beauty inspiration was romantic and fresh feeling. I loved the idea of doing a Bridal Ponytail, and was obsessed with the dewy bright and fresh makeup look for me and my bridal party.
