This Bear Flag Farm wedding in Winters California is elegant East-coast style meets incredible outdoor West-coast venue. The couple decided to have their destination wedding at Bear Flag Farm, and we can see why. Beautiful plains, spacious lawns, perfect weather… oh and a ferris wheel! Is that enough to convince you? The soft pink and ivory affair is one for the books – and the way the bride talks about it proves it even more so!
From the Bride:
We both love to travel and we had decided early on that we wanted a destination wedding. We wanted to keep the event relatively small and intimate. We thought that California would make a perfect destination. When we went venue searching, I dragged Evan to over 20 places in a week – the very last of which was Bear Flag Farm. We almost didn’t go! Evan was tired…but I was persistent! As soon as we drove up, we both felt an instant connection to the farm and knew it was just what we were looking for. Once we had the tour by one of the farm’s owners, Kevin, it sealed the deal. The last piece of the puzzle was meeting Tina, Kevin’s wife and co-owner of the farm. From the moment we met Tina, our lives were transformed! She gave us everything we could possibly ever want for the special day. Scrumptious farm-to-table delicacies, fresh and creative floral arrangements, beautifully topped tables, a band that peoplestill haven’t stopped talking about, a surprise visit from an ice cream truck and a ferris wheel to boot! The day went perfectly and we continue to have people tell us that it was the most phenomenal wedding that they have ever attended.
Our closest family and friends stayed together with us in an old 18th century Victorian B&B in Napa. It was something I will never forget – having my best friends from all walks of life running around in one house, sharing stories and laughs over loads of wine and cheese. After the wedding Evan and I drove off in a vintage Packer back towards the B&B while the
guests grabbed late night sliders and fries and boarded the bus back to their respective “homes”.
