Gone are the days where brides’ only option was a white or ivory gown! Different wedding dress colors are popping up more and more nowadays, and we’re so excited about all of the different interpretations and styles of bridal gowns! We rounded up our 7 favorite alternative wedding dress colors, and are so excited to share them with you on our wedding blog today!
1. Pastel blue
A delicate gown with a tinge of blue is the perfect way to incorporate color on your wedding day! It can also double as your “something blue,” which we love! This color is unexpected, and not overdone, so it’s definitely something your guests probably haven’t seen before! This Carolina Herrera beauty is one of our favorites!

2. Blush
Blush wedding dresses aren’t a new trend, per se, but they’re oh-so-pretty so we couldn’t resist including one in our roundup! They’re feminine, ethereal, and will truly make you feel like a princess on your wedding day! Can you handle this Vera Wang creation?! We’re obsessed!
3. Black
Black wedding dresses are definitely rare, but we love the drama they bring to a modern wedding. They ensure that your walk down the aisle will make a bold statement! We love the off-the-shoulder and lace details of this pretty Free People gown!
4. Red
Another shade that’s reserved for the bold! Red is such a romantic and classic wedding shade – Why not incorporate it into your dress? This dramatic mermaid silhouette is beyond stunning!

5. Gold
It’s no secret that we love evvvverything gold, so we couldn’t help including it as one of our favorite wedding dress colors. You might recognize this gorgeous George Chakra gown from Serena Van der Woodsen’s ultra-glam wedding on Gossip Girl ;). This lace gold beauty is another fave.
6. Lavender
Lavender wedding dresses (and other shades of light purple) have just started popping up, and we couldn’t be happier! We love this gown’s lace cap-sleeve top and flowing tulle skirt!
7. Prints
We love a good print! Floral, stripes, polka dots, you name it. A printed wedding gown is by no means traditional, but we love the impact it makes! You could always go more subtle, but we love the bold floral pattern on this Wendy Makin ball gown!
The pastel blue one is amazing!
I’m really loving the floral trend! So feminine and pretty!
all of these are such great alternatives to the traditional wedding dress!
All about that lavender!!
