Where to Stay in New York City: The Time Hotel

We traveled to New York City last month for Bridal Fashion Week and were fortunate to stay in what is now one of our favorite hotels. Manhattan has so many different neighborhoods so figuring out where to stay in the city can be difficult. We spent the week going to shows and events all around town, so a central location was key. The Time New York is located right off of Time square, between Broadway and 8th Ave. But that’s not the only reason we loved staying there. Here’s why you should pay The Time Hotel a visit next time you are in New York.

As you can see, The Time New York has mastered contemporary interior design. The trendy interiors feature mid-century style furniture in plush neutrals with pops of lime green and aqua blue. We walked in and instantly fell for the lobby’s vibes. You’ll feel like you walked into a serene oasis in the middle of NYC. This serenity is something we didn’t take for granted while visiting! It was so nice to return to a hotel that was peaceful (and a bit posh!) at the end of every day. With free wifi, this lobby is also an optimal space for working on your laptop or having a cup of coffee in the morning.

The mid-century decor continues throughout the hotel. Although minimalistic, the rooms weren’t short of comfort. In fact, the uncluttered space allows plenty of room for your own belongings. Where’s the TV you ask? Well, it’s right there in the mirror! That isn’t the only modern feature though. “Make up room” and “Do Not Disturb” buttons (yes, buttons) are useful for notifying the staff when to or not to clean the room. We also appreciated the Keurig machine and k-cups brought to our room when we desired coffee.

On the other hand, nighttime beverages can be enjoyed in The Time’s lobby lounge or the ground floor restaurant, Serafina. Serafina offers delicious Italy meets New York cuisine. Visit for the aforementioned nighttime drinks or for a crostini and French fries or other yummy appetizers.
