Finding something to do in LA is never a hard task, but sometimes there are tooo many options! Whether you’re looking for a cozy date night spot or somewhere to go for a fun Saturday, we’ve narrowed the list down to our favorite LA date spots that will guarantee you and your S.O. (or bff!) a good time.
First Fridays in Venice
Are you (or your date) a foodie?! On the first Friday of every month, every food truck you could ever image line the sidewalks of Abbot Kinney. From mac-n-cheese stuffed grilled cheeses to ricotta flavored gelato, First Fridays has it all. You and your date will leave with smiles on your faces and in your tummies! If you’re looking to explore the Venice area on the weekend, we also love strolling the canals!
Drive-In Movie Theater
Go on a date like your parents used to and head on over to the Vineland drive-in movie theater. There’s no better way to watch a movie than with blankets and pillows in the comfort of your car! Since there’s only a few left in Southern California, it’s definitely worth the drive.
If you’re looking to check out some of the coolest art in LA, head to the new contemporary art museum in Downtown. With over 2,000 pieces, there is so much to explore. What’s even cooler? The Broad offers
free admission –
reserve your tickets online! It’s a win-win!
Santa Monica Pier
If you and your date are looking for some thrills, head to the Santa Monica Pier. Filled with fun-sized rollercoasters, carnival-esque rides and a Ferris Wheel overlooking the ocean, you’ll find plenty to do. But don’t limit yourself to just the Pier! Santa Monica’s 3rd Street Promenade is filled with amazing shops and incredible street performers, too.
LA Zoo & Botanical Gardens
One of our favorite things to do to escape the city is head to the LA Zoo. What better way to spend a date than getting away from the hustle and bustle of LA than looking a cute animals?!
Griffith Observatory
Another one of our favorite date (night or day) spots is the Griffith Observatory. Take a little trip to the end of the Santa Monica mountains and star-gaze all night with your date! They have up to 10 live shows every day and a planetarium that will knock your socks off. Make sure to check the weather before you go so you can be sure to see some stars. And did we mention it’s free?!
The Huntington Library not only houses a library of famous novels, and a tea room where you can enjoy delicious teas and sweets, but also exotic garden areas that span unique garden styles from Japanese to Desert. It’s a must visit for a couple who wants to explore culture in a gorgeous outdoor setting!
