DIY: Mason Jar Makeup Brush Holders

Getting ready in the morning takes enough time in and of itself so streamlining the process is a necessity for us. And with that, organization is key! These mason jar makeup brush holders were the answer! We love it when we can put our DIYs to good use and not having to dig through our makeup bags for brushes has made life a little easier :). Plus, this project was fun! With a metallic color combo and one in bright pink and blue, these jars now look SO much prettier! Use your extra time in the morning to try this out!

What You Need

Spray paint
Tape
Colorful rocks
Your makeup brushes

Directions:

Step 1: Grab your tape and start taping off the inside of your jar, leaving a space open at the bottom—make sure you tape in an even line across the jar and tape off all of the areas you don’t want painted!

Step 2: Once you have finished taping, take your first color of spray paint and spray the inside of your jar. Roll it around to make sure your jar is covered evenly! We chose to use our darkest color on the bottom so it wouldn’t cover up lighter colors later on!

Step 3: Once that first layer is dry (it helps to put the jar upside down), you can move the tape up, creating a second section to add color!

Step 4: Grab your second color of spray paint and spray the open space; roll it around again to ensure it is even and let dry! Our color orders? Gold, white, then silver, and pink, white, then blue.

Step 5: Once it is dry, wrap a strip of tape around the top of the outside of the jar, because you don’t want any paint to get on the outside! After that, choose your last color and spray the entire inside of the jar. Make sure to move the jar around so the paint is even, and then let it dry!

Step 6: Once the jar is completely dry, grab your colorful rocks and fill your jars! We used gold and silver, but you can use any color you like!
