Looking for a new holiday hair do? This take on the ballerina bun on our style blog today is so much cooler and pretty perfect for any party you have coming up. Work party, check, family Christmas, check, NYE, check. (Yes, we’ll probably be wearing this style for each and every event we attend!) Disclaimer: you don’t need any hot tools. Ya, we know that’s what you want to hear when you’re rushing from work or busy cooking/decorating/wrapping gifts and doing your hair is last on the list. Keeping it easy and fast is what our fave hair DIYs are all about. Thanks to Erica, from 10.11 Makeup, for being on our same page and bringing us this (hot!) DIY hair-do. So here it is, the much anticipated, easy-as-pie, wrapped ponytail bun, and how to get it.
Step 1: Gather your the hair from the crown portion of your head and up and clip out of the way.
Step 2: Gather the remaining hair, and secure into a pony tail.
Step 3: Unclip the top portion and secure into a ponty tail, with the placement as close to the other pony tail as possible.
Step 4: Gather the hair from each ponytail in opposite hands and twist them together, wrapping one side over the other and repeating until you reach the ends of the hair.
Step 5: Take the ends of the twisted hair and wrap it around the base of the two pony tails, forming a bun.
Step 6: Secure the end and the perimeter of the bun with bobby pins and spray with a finishing spray. * make sure to keep your pins hidden.
Wait this is so cool! Also can I just have her hair please?
