We’re prepping for Thanksgiving on our lifestyle blog today! Or just fall in general! Grab your kids/nieces/nephews/little ones and turn a plain ole’ tea towel into a perfect-for-fall, hang-on-your-oven pumpkin dish towel! This easy-peasy craft (think finger painting but without the mess!) will be super fun for kids to do and a great way to get them excited for the holidays! They will be so proud of their creation and excited to display it at home all season long! So raid your craft closet (you probably have everything you need!) and make this Thanksgiving DIY a fun afternoon activity!
Supplies:
Tea Towels Orange and Brown Paint Apples Paint Brush Instructions: 1. Slice the apple in half (Don’t leave this one to the kiddos 🙂 2. Fully coat half the apple in orange paint 3. Firmly press the apple onto the dish towel wherever you’d like your pumpkin placed and wiggle a little to make sure the paint transfers! (Make sure you have a piece of cardboard/paper behind the towel) 4. Place as many “pumpkins” as you desire on the towel and add on short brown stems with the brown paint. Once the paint has dried, hang your towel as decor or put it to use! Happy Fall!
Well this is adorable! So fun for the little ones!
totally going to have my kiddos do this! won’t turn out as pretty 🙂 but they’ll have fun!
Such a cute and easy way to decorate for fall! I want to make different tea towels for every season!
