Spring Flower Field Maternity Photos

This couple chose an ideal location for their out-of-town maternity session. This flower field is the perfect backdrop for them and their blooming baby. Mom, Nikki, echoed the vibe in bohemian frocks & a pretty flower crown. Her and hubby, Chris, made their way through the fields, cuddling the baby bump and smiling for the camera – in this case – Chelsea Maras.

Chelsea shares, After trying to have a baby for a while and finally getting their dream to come true Chris and Nikki decided that in order celebrate their pregnancy they would take a romantic Babymoon to Southern California! They were here to explore all the sights and soak in the sun! They traveled from the East Coast and really wanted to capture the warm sun-soak vibe of SoCal. Spring time is always the perfect backdrop for Maternity sessions, something about wild flowers and a glowing mama to be that is just the perfect pairing. New life is in the bloom and it’s always so gorgeous!

One of the things about their story that I loved was their decision to keep the babies gender a surprise! This is a growing trend and I love it! They said they were just so happy to be pregnant they are going to be so excited either way. I love that this shoot was part of their baby moon celebrations!

This mama to be was inspired by the wild flowers and rocked an awesome flower crown from French Bouquet. It really helped to create a rustic bohemian styled session. She wore a black off the shoulder dress from Zara and paired it with an ivory lace dress from Free People. It’s always so great when maternity style really highlights a mamas beauty as well as her bump, the dresses she picked were totally swoon worthy too! Chris and Nikki were the perfect picture of happiness and the bright colors of the daisy field lit up by the golden sun made for some of the most romantic moment ever!
