San Juan Capistrano Rustic Maternity Photos

With a couple cute outfit changes, and a super cute couple, these rustic maternity photos in San Juan Capistrano have us sighing. The beautiful mom & pop to-be were caught on camera by one of their best friends, Ashley Paige, which made the shoot even more exciting and personal. Mama’s flowy Free People dress matched the vibe of the wide open field and her orange kimono echoed the sunset backdrop. Casandra and I are more than best friends, we are soul sisters. Naturally, when I found out that she was pregnant, I was so happy I cried. Then, like any other good best friend would do, I got pregnant too. Casandra and I have been inseparable since we were kids. We lived in San Francisco for 12 years together and it was the most amazing experience two best friends could ask for. Sometime during the middle of the 12 year stint in SF, Casandra met a really funny guy named Mitch. He was the only person I ever saw make her laugh harder than I had. When she told me he reminded her of a male version of me, I knew they would live happily ever after together. Mitch has brought out sides of Casandra I never saw in her before. Together, they have created a beautiful life here in San Clemente, CA. They spend their days taking their dog, Jethro, to the beach, playing guitar making music together, and inspiring each other to be the best they can be. When they first asked me to photograph their maternity session, I knew immediately where to take them. Wide Open Spaces in San Juan Capistrano is an open field usually drenched with sunshine in the late afternoon. This location fit perfectly with the couple’s natural organic style and appreciation for nature. I know they are both going to be such patient, encouraging, and loving parents. I can’t wait to meet their little bundle of Joy, Ruby Jane, who’s due May 12th. Ruby, you will be so loved in this world and we are all so excited for your arrival!
