This eclectic, modern nursery is making it’s debut on our baby blog today in pretty orange & indigo fashion! Victoria from The Southern Trunk wielded her creative genius on decorating her babe’s beautiful nursery, inspired by favorite places and decor.
Victoria says, Decorating Cove’s nursery was so much fun for us. We knew that we wanted a space that was full of the things that we love with a west coast modern feel. I love white walls and bright spaces, so keeping things simple and minimalistic was also really important. Overall, we are very happy with how it turned out, and I can’t wait to add a little boy and his personality to it as he grows!
Ian made the shelves and we used antique books that we loved from our childhood to add some color. Of course, his matching Vans to his dad’s had to make an appearance too. The wooden buoy came from my parents trip to Nova Scotia and the sweet wooden Cove train set was a gift from Ian’s parents. The frame above the bed Ian made as well as the photo that hangs in it. It was a picture of the beach in La Jolla where we traveled last year. One of the most meaningful places we visited was Crystal Cove State Park upon arriving to California last year, so you can see where we get our inspiration and his name from.
