This honey bee first birthday party is showing us that a baby’s birthday can have just as much style as anyone’s bash! Mom, Ashley of Ashley Thunder Events, pulled off this party with the help of a few awesome vendors, a DIY here and there, and her handy husband. The troupe turned their backyard into a haven for ‘hunny.’ (Hear how Charlie got her nickname below). They carried the cute honey bee theme into every last detail, assuring no hive went left unturned!
Ashley says, I am a party stylist and my daughter Charlie Thunder just turned one! We have been planning this party since June of this year, and spared no detail! My husband has been calling my daughter ‘hunny’ since she was born. It caught on, and now everyone refers to my daughter, who is actually Charlie, as ‘hunny’. It’s been both adorable and hilarious, so we decided it was only appropriate to throw a ‘hunny-bee’ themed first birthday party!
I wanted the vibe to be earthy and rustic and soft as opposed to cartoon’y’ and bright. We used a lot of awesome local vendors + small shops, as well as DIY’d the honeycomb wood cupcake display and the flower balloon garland. We added some special ‘bee’ touches with the beehive cake + sweets! My husband also does custom signs, so he did some fun acrylic signs for our signature drink as well as our organic honey favors!
this is the cutest theme!!!
