Two – or should we say “deux” is better than one in most cases, but especially at this adorable French themed 2nd birthday party! It celebrates not one but two cute cousins in incredible fashion, thanks to their talented mamas! They took the French bistro theme and ran with it, creating cool floral displays, black and white striped awnings and backdrops, and serving up macarons and croissants. And to that we say “si vous plait!”
With my son, Lennox & my sister’s daughter, Truly being only three days apart from each other, we decided to combine their birthday parties and come up with a fun theme that would favor both boy and girl styles. Since my sister & I own a floral business, The Foraged Fete, we wanted to come up with an idea that could best incorporate our florals without outshining their true beauty, as well. So, what better way to do that than bring some French charm and Parisian chic into the comfort of our backyard? We thought of “Cafe de Deux!” A French bistro theme!
The thoughts of drinking espresso and chatting over croissants with the silhouette of The Eiffel Tower seamlessly radiating in the background left us wanting more. Needless to say, we couldn’t stop there. We really wanted this party to have a true french cafe vibe with vines and fresh florals draped everywhere, including the string cafe lights. From calligraphy banners made by David and Leanna to the delicious charcuterie boards made by Made By Elle, the Parisian feel really came to life.
