Oo la la! We’ve found a pretty fete with a European twist! This French New Orleans inspired baby shower on IBT today is so posh and very pretty. Ashley from A Bupp Event styled the parents’ to-be bright & beautiful home with colorful blooms, drool-worthy desserts, and fun-filled games. So, find your place among the cushy lounges and get comfortable, because this is a shower you won’t want to miss! Oh! And grab a glass of bubbly on your way over… we’re pretending we’re in the French Quarter, after all!
Ashley says, Enticed by the French style inspiration found on various blogs the mother-to-be knew she wanted a romantic shower full of fresh flowers. She worked closely with her invitation designer to create an invite that set the tone for the celebration day. Using the invite colors and some beautiful images I pulled together a design board that incorporated all of the details the mother-to-be loved. While hosting the shower in her home provided some challenges and space limitations for the family style, seated brunch she envisioned, we were able to work with a lot of the furniture she already owned to create the perfect lounge brunch.
Guests were greeted upon arrival with champagne and yogurt parfaits while they mingled and started working on some very creative iron-on onesies and alphabet blocks for the new baby. When the brunch buffet opened it was full of delicious food including an asparagus and gruyere tart, an avocado toast bar, veggie quiche and a southern classic, biscuits and gravy. An array of bite-sized delectable desserts and a fruit filled naked cake made for a perfect dessert.
One of the best custom elements was a frame and floral cake backdrop. She hung empty frames that Bella Blooms filled with fresh matching florals, all of which surrounded a custom mirror. The future mom and dad had the name, Maxim, picked out for the new baby but kept the name from family and friends. The name Maxim means, the greatest. She had the custom mirror hung in the middle with the phrase “you are our greatest adventure” making a small acknowledgment to their sweet baby boy.
Guests did not walk away empty handed. The hosts provided a variety of natural soy candles from Mad Darling. All the candles are inspired by the character and culture of New Orleans.
Want to see more? “Oui!” you say? Well, ok! This French themed 2nd birthday party and this French Tea Party birthday will be just your style!
