If Lizzo is your ultimate self-love inspiration, then you need to see this pink rainbow “Boy Bye” Valentines Day shoot! This mom wanted to show her daughter the importance of self-love and putting yourself first, so she got inspired by Lizzo’s “Feeling Good As Hell” lyrics “Boy, bye…all you need is your girls, your mama…and maybe your lil bro” and threw the ultimate Valentines Day bash. With a monochromatic pink theme done right, every moment of this day was covered in a touch of the sweet shade – from an incredible balloon wall to the cutest tassel lanterns to the cutest “I love me” cake, we’re obsessed with every detail (and we’re kind of wishing we thought of this idea first!). Just wait until you see how much fun these little cuties had in their robes and eye masks: #majorselfcaregoals. If there is anything that I love most, it’s teaching my babies to be strong and love themselves! If you don’t know yet, I love parties that throw subliminal messages, and this Valentines party was no different. I was driving on the road thinking of Emma’s party when Lizzo’s “Feeling Good as Hell” came on, and naturally, that’s what inspired the whole shoot. I want to teach Emma that she needs to love herself first…so the “Boy, bye…all you need is your girls, your mama…and maybe your lil bro” idea came about. I want to be able to teach not just Emma, but all little girls (and boys!) around, that they need to love themselves first, and that it’s okay if things do not go their way, as long as you have your family and friends!
I made lanterns out of tassel and hung them around the little table that I made, that was inspired by architectural designer Utkan Gunerkan. The amazing balloon wall was styled to perfection by @the.balloon.co, who also added some heart balloon clouds that were suggested by one of my good friends @deetsandthings to our rainbow wall that we had made last year inspired by our friend @Erinsummer_! And of course, we had to have pink everything…because why not? Thanks to all of my friends for helping me make Emma’s party happen, and special thanks to my biz bestie @onesocialdesign for co-styling the party with me!
Okay – how cute was that?! If pink wasn’t your favorite color before, we bet it is now! If you’re ready to see more pink party inspiration, check out this Galentine’s Day party with the most perfect touches of blush!
