A Perfect for Fall Cider & Pie Pairing Party

We love everything fall, and we love celebrating our favorite season by entertaining and enjoying some of autumn’s quintessential treats. Pumpkin spice or apple cider, anyone? So we took a break from our daily tasks and threw a hard cider and pie pairing party. It was the perfect way to signify the start of the season and kick-off the fall festivities!

To start, we set the table in fall fashion. Gold and white pumpkins, pinecones, and a plaid table runner immediately transformed the table. We threw in a couple of rustic pots to hold silverware and napkins as well. It was easy as pie, you might say ;). To make a cozy seating environment, we draped chairs in faux sheepskins and comfy pillows.

Tip: Create plenty of seating vignettes so your guests feel welcome to sit and relax!

Next, it was time to place the goodies. Needless to say, the pie and hard cider options were many! We served up an assortment of Angry Orchard hard ciders from the Fall Variety Pack, ranging from classic ‘Crisp Apple’ to the seasonal style, ‘Cinnful Apple.’ We’re so happy we chose to serve cider because it’s easy for everyone to enjoy and a good way to change it up from wine or beer. Not only is it refreshing and just the right amount of sweet, but also great for gluten free friends. The newest style ‘Easy Apple’ and ‘Hop’N Mad Apple’ are also a few of our faves! To pair with the delicious cider, we brought out everyone’s favorite pies: apple, pecan, and pumpkin. Are your mouths watering yet?

Another great tip: Create a dedicated “drinks” area were you can display all the Angry Orchard styles for your guests to choose from. This can be a bar cart or even an end table!

Guests tasted a variety of pies & hard ciders (in both bottles and cans) and decided which ones went best together. They voiced their choices on cute matching cards and went back and forth with each other to find the best pair. It was not only easy to enjoy each other’s company but the activities as well! Plus, the cider and pie tasted great together! The winning combo? ‘Crisp Apple’ and pumpkin pie :). You can’t go wrong with the classic taste of this hard cider style mixed with soft and creamy pumpkin pie. We were excited to host a beautiful get together for our friends where the cider was flowing and the “cheers” moments were endless.
