We love this modern rustic bright and happy nursery for a baby boy! Mom, Lisa, strongly dislikes the word nursery, and instead wanted to create a nest for her first baby, Crew. The crib backdrop is an original fruit cellar door, and it inspired the rest of the nest’s warm and rustic vibe. Curtains were hung with metal pipes and connectors from a local hardware store and the light was made from a wire basket turned upside down. A small wall was painted with magnetic and chalkboard paint to create a fun space for Crew to play with magnets and color. The rest of the space is the result of a year’s work in finding bits and pieces to fill this sweet little room with color and warmth. The bright yellow dresser, apple green ceiling, and navy striped wall create a happy environment for a happy little boy. Finished with a big fuzzy rug, this room has become a sweet little space that the whole family loves spending time in!

Where did you find the door behind the crib? I am in love with this and want to recreate the look in my son’s room.
Where did the ceiling light come from? I love it!
