Centered around the idea of choosing to gather, Esther and Lee Photography and Hannah Lane Photography teamed up to shoot a backyard get-together in the heart of Downtown Annapolis, Maryland. The intimate and beautiful backyard dinner party will inspire you to gather together. Milly LoBuglio of Esther and Lee Photography says, “I’m not sure if it’s just us, but we feel 2019 and beyond inspiring more epic gatherings. Whether that is celebrating a big moment in a big way, or just having more cozy and intimate get-togethers with your closest buddies in attendance, we hope you feel inspired to celebrate those important to you moments in a unique way.” Be it with friends, family, co-workers or neighbors, the soiree will encourage you to spend more time over good food (and wine) this season, but most importantly, with good company.
HannahLane Photography shares,
The lifestyle shoot was influenced by the spring season and incorporated Pantone’s color of the year: living coral. Details showcased uniquely curated spring floral arrangements and installations, seasonal menu items, and intimate details. We chose our location in the heart of Annapolis, Maryland near the historic Maryland State House. Annapolis is such a charming city where we’ve cultivated many relationships. This shoot was a collaboration with many of these local friendors (friends + vendors) each bringing their own special talent to the table – no pun intended.
Invitations suites were done by Ashley at Paper Love Club who also designed our seasonal menu to lay over each place setting. Her brilliant illustrations of the State House on vellum paper gave a translucent cover to the invitations. She also individually painted water color fruits and vegetables to match the menu items! How thoughtful! A hand dyed emerald table runner and marigold napkins by MossHound Designs paired perfectly with the reclaimed barn-wood table and handcrafted white ceramic dinner plates rimmed in 23k gold trim supplied by Something Vintage Rentals.
No matter what season you are in, flowers are always a good statement piece for any table. Linda of Blush Floral Design Studio is a floral goddess if there ever was one. Her idea to create a “bridge” installation of lush greenery elevated our outdoor dinner table—quite literally. The colorful bouquet of yellow, coral, peach, and violet florals she curated as centerpieces brought everything to life.
No gathering is complete without delicious food and Lorenza of Tiny Forks was the perfect fit to prepare and style the food elements. I think it’s safe to say she left each guest with mouthwatering memories of her tasty yet simple creations. I think we all took her advice to “live deliciously” after each delectable bite.
Every detail from the tables-cape to the handmade macrame came together beautifully and organically. We wanted to show what simple details could add to any gathering; whether that’s planning your grandpa’s 70th birthday, your best friend’s baby shower, or even a festive family holiday party! So get out there and utilize your community vendors, get in touch with your creative side, and enjoy the company of good people. We hope you choose to gather more!
