A Feminine & Vintage Brunch Gathering in L.A.

A few weeks ago we were lucky enough to attend this feminine and vintage brunch gathering at The Ruby Street in L.A. We were blown away by the incredible mid-century modern venue and stunning decor from One Darling Day! So, naturally, we couldn’t wait to share it with you! Cory of Sargeant PR did an amazing job hosting the event and showcasing some great local vendors with unique activities like crystal readings, CBD infused cocktails, and a braid bar! She says, “It was such an incredible experience, gathering inspiring women to learn more about The Ruby Street and connect with like-minded spirits.” And we couldn’t agree more! The food was delicious, the DJ was vibing, and the atmosphere couldn’t have been more perfect.

The design team at One Darling Day says, When we began the design process we wanted to come up with a fresh take on sustainability and use recycled & vintage elements. Claudia, owner of One Darling Day, has a background in fashion and started pulling images from the Ulla Johnson runway show and the recent Rodarte campaign. Abby, designer for One Darling Day, also does interior design and took cues from painters’ studios and interesting architectural shapes.

From there, we started brainstorming and realized we wanted to make custom runners. Then we had a ‘lightbulb moment’ and decided to repurpose old painting drop cloth and use paint samples from another project to make a base that felt cool and casual. From there we brought in vintage rentals from Borrowed Blu including beautiful mixed and matched glasses. For our floral element, we reached out to Whit Hazen who specializes in using recycled dried florals to create a dreamy and dynamic installation to tie all the elements together.

Overall we wanted the space to feel dreamy, relaxed, and inviting to set the tone for conversation!
