Giving Back During the Holidays

It’s the season of Christmas lists and holiday parties and most of us tend to focus on what we want this month. This year team Inspired By This is hitting the reset button and making our wishes more focused about what we can give to others. This was all inspired by Capital One’s desire to make the holidays a little brighter with their “Wish For Others“ campaign that encourages giving back during the holidays. We heard about it and were moved to get involved in our community and looking for ways we can support others during this Christmas and holiday season.

Desiring to celebrate the gift of giving, Capital One created a contest to help make our wishes for others come true! How thoughtful right?! People are submitting videos that will make you laugh or maybe cry, but surely they will leave you wishing well for others this season and hopefully beyond!

So what do you wish for others? Share your wish for someone else – a family member, a friend, a neighbor, or a community – with #WishForOthers on Twitter, Instagram, or the Capital One Facebook page from Nov. 24 through Dec. 23 for a chance to make it come true.

Our office wish this holiday is for families and friends to be able to gather together and break bread together. Many people don’t have the time or resources to be able to spend time with loved ones or even have a community of friends to be able to get together with. We want everyone to have the chance to enjoy a warm meal, share a smile , have a good laugh and be able toast with one another to health and happiness. May all of you have the opportunity to be surrounded by others who care.
