We have a major thing for inspiring office spaces and this one is just that. Rightfully so for a wedding & events planner! With a little Southern charm and a lot of navy, peony pink, and gold this bright colored, bold in style, office is one we’re thrilled to tour on our business blog today! The savvy stylist behind it? Luke Wilson, of Luke Wilson Events! Here’s a window into his work space and how it makes his planning that much better:

We love your work! How did you get into event planning? What led you to start your own business?
I used to work with many of my friends in church to help out with their weddings. I loved Martha Stewart and owned every single wedding book and magazine. I started making wedding cakes when I was 13 and that brought me down to Charleston to attend Johnson and Wales University. I met and started working with a wedding planner in town in my first year in school and I was HOOKED! I knew that creating others’ happily ever afters was going to be my happily ever after.
What does a typical work day look like for you?
I usually start the day off with emails and coffee … lots of coffee. Then I head down to my office in downtown Charleston and from there it depends. When I have clients in town I attend meetings with our vendor friends and help keep the clients entertained. I love showing off my city and taking them to some of my favorite spots to get them excited for their guests to travel down for the weekend. If I don’t have clients in town my office time is usually a blur of fabric samples, ink color swatches and diagrams creating and designing for my brides and grooms!
Your office is amazing! What is the main use of the space?
Thank you! I truly love it. I feel strongly that you have to be inspired by the space you work in. It is the only way to remain energized and creative for the projects you are working on. I work day to day out of the office but I also host my clients there. I have an espresso station, a comfy lounge and even a bar cart! After all … entertainment is the business I am in!
What is your favorite part of your office and why?
I have infused the space with pictures of my brides with me on the wedding day. I truly love my clients and remembering moments caught by such talented photographers is truly special to me.
What is the best part of your job?
The clients!! It is such an honor to be chosen to help people celebrate their life and their accomplishments. Seeing the joy on my client’s face makes the long hours and late nights worthwhile. I remain very close to my clients after the job is done and that is so meaningful for them to think of me as part of their family after it is all said and done.
