November is here and fall is in full swing so we are styling our home decor to match with a DIY Thanksgiving centerpiece, that is both ready for the holiday and cute enough to keep out all month. We transformed these cute white pumpkins into the perfect decor using paint markers in our favorite color scheme – black & gold. The Painters were simple to use and even easier to clean up after. The ideal craft, right? Plus, they coated to pumpkin’s surface extremely well!
If you try out our centerpiece, or create your own DIY using Painters, be sure and enter the Style By Aisle contest! Your entry could win prizes like, a Visa gift card, shopping spree, iPad, cooking class or spa package – and it’s all about using these paint markers in a creative way! They go on a multitude of surfaces, so the options here are really endless! And share it with us too using #StylebyAisle & #Paintersstyle.
What You Need:
Small White Pumpkins
Paint Markers – we used black, white and metallic gold!
Black Spray Paint
Leaf Stencil
X-acto Knife
Instructions:
1. Pick out the designs you want to decorate your pumpkins with. We chose polka dots for cuteness purposes and leaves to match the fall theme of our Thanksgiving table.
2. Print out a leaf stencil and cut out the leaves with an X-acto knife. If you choose polka dots as well, you can trace and cut out circles (the size of a quarter) in the same way.
3. Tape the stencil to the pumpkin and fill in with Painters. We chose black & gold for the polka-dots and gold for the leaves.
We decided to spray paint one of our pumpkins black to make them all look a little different! You can layer a design over the spray paint as well for more variation.
4. Create a centerpiece that’s festive and pretty with the pumpkins in the middle of your table. Add in color coordinating vases and lit candles and watch your house guests ooo and ahhh!
