As any 7-months pregnant woman can relate, finding clothes that fit and make you feel cute and stylish can be a bit of a challenge! I had heard of Motherhood Maternity® and Destination Maternity® from friends and decided I needed to see what it was all about.
The best thing about the store is all the clothes are for pregnant women. No more heading to the corner of a store to browse 2 racks of maternity options. Nope – rows and rows of dresses, shorts, tops, sweaters, jackets and workout clothes just for me and my belly! It was so refreshing to know all the options in the store would fit me and my belly.
The sales girls in the store were beyond helpful. I explained to them a bit about my style and what I was looking for, and they helped find and pull pieces they especially thought I would love. My pre-pregnancy closet consists of neutral-colored tops (mostly stripes and solids!) that can easily be layered into other outfits as the weather changes and a variety of denim washes and colors of skinny jeans… so it was important to me to stay true to that with my maternity clothes as well.
I’m not exaggerating when I say everything I tried on I could’ve bought! The quality and comfort of the maternity jeans were the highlight for me, so I scooped up a pair of plum skinnies that will be perfect for my Fall/Winter bump! I loved the tops from the Jessica Simpson line – so soft and comfortable. While I typically shy away from fitted tops and dresses, I’m learning to embrace them during this time of my life and proudly share the bump!
Rounding out my gold-mine finds were a grey burn-out tee perfect for casual Saturday strolls, a boho-inspired peasant top, and this oatmeal striped tee that literally goes with everything in my closet.
I’m excited to share my Motherhood Maternity® experience with my fellow preggo friends (and with all of you!)… we all know the confidence that comes with a new, cute outfit and I’m so happy to report that does not go away with maternity wear!
