Mountainside Family Photos

This family of 5 is transporting us into “The Sound of Music” on our baby blog today with family photos on a mountainside in the Midwest. We thought this beautiful Utah locale was only in our dreams! The hills are alive with laughter and smiles coming from this sweet family. The real live, incredible, place, hosted 3 tots and their parents for a very pretty and adventurous afternoon. After some fun, they found a prime spot for a picnic and watched the sunset over the mountains around them. The boys dressed in chambray, and the girls in soft neutrals – with dainty flower crowns on top. They all looked impeccable (even after trotting through trees and over rocks). This shoot is filled with joy and moments that will grace the walls of this family’s home from now on. From rock jumping to wandering to picnicking, Kandice Breinholt captured all the giggles, kisses, and cuddles the family enjoyed (as well as the amazing backdrop) beautifully. We hope you love this pretty session as much as we do, and that it inspires you to get outdoors with the fam this week! We think we’ll take a trip to somewhere that looks like this very soon.

So excited to share this session with you! It’s one of my favorites. The sweet Kjar family and I ventured up to Albion Basin in the Utah mountains and captured some pretty sweet moments in the last Hour of evening light. I’m a big fan of lifestyle photography. In other words, capturing the sweet moments in between the chaos of the evening (which is standard for family photography). I love the moments that convey how the family interacts when they aren’t worried about posing and this session is all about that. A little adventure, some amazing light, and an incredible backdrop never hurts, either. The mother and the daughter are each wearing Fox and Fern Flowers floral crowns and the blanket is from Six and Grand.
